Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

The server installation should be run before client installation. Note that this installation must be run on the server computer. The installation wizard will guide you through the steps required, as shown below:

Step 1: Start the Installation

This installer will guide you through the steps required to install "Total Enterprise CRM Server Components" on server machine.

Click "Next" to start.

Step 2: License Agreement

"I Agree" must be selected to proceed to next step.

Click "Next" to continue.

Step 3: Select the Service(s)

These services are part of Total Enterprise CRM and can be installed on single or multiple servers.

Only the Email Engine is used in the Small Business Edition of Total Enterprise CRM.

Click "Next" to continue.

Step 4: Database Creation

You must have one centralized database to be shared across your business. If you have not already installed, check the box "Create Database"

Click "Next" to continue.

Step 5: Select Installation Folder

Generally it is a good idea to leave the installation folder in the default location.

Click "Next" to continue.

Step 6: Confirmation

Installer is ready to install server components.

Click "Next" to start installation.

Step 7: Bring the Form to Front

An issue with the installation script is that the configuration form can display behind the 'Installation' form (or other open forms). Click on the form to Total Enterprise CRM 'Configuration' form to bring it to the front as shown in step-8.

Click "Next" to continue.

Step 8: Total Enterprise CRM Studio Configuration

You shouldn’t need to change these settings. It may be necessary to use SQL Server Security if SQL Server has been locked down by your system administrator.

Click "Next" to continue.

Step 9: Finish

The server components have been installed.

Click "Close" to finish.

Note:

When using the free version of Microsoft SQL Server Express some default configuration settings need to be changed to enable Total Enterprise CRM to connection to the database from other computers.

See SQL Server configuration for remote computers for instructions.

Note:

To uninstall Total Enterprise CRM, either use the same setup again or use Windows Control Panel.
