What is the ribbon?

The ribbon in Total Enterprise CRM is just like the ribbon in Microsoft Office 2007. It is designed to help you find the commands you need as quickly and easily as possible. Commands in ribbon are organised into logical groups, which are collected together under tabs. Each tab relates to a specific type of activity.

How do you minimise the ribbon?

Minimising the ribbon increases the space on your screen and therefore gives you a broader view of your data.

There are two ways you can minimise the ribbon:

1.Click Customise quick-access toolbar (or right-click anywhere on the ribbon). In the drop-down menu, click Minimise the ribbon.
2.To minimise the ribbon quickly, double-click on any tab. Double-click on a tab again to restore the ribbon to its expanded position.

To use the ribbon while it is minimised, click on the tab that you wish to use, then click on the appropriate command.

How do you access the ribbon's commands with the keyboard?

Every command in the ribbon under any tab can be accessed by using an access key. Regardless of where you are in the system, by pressing a few keystrokes you can execute a command quickly.

To access commands by keyboard, follow these steps:

1.Press and release the 'Alt' key.
2.The key tips are shown over each feature available in the current view of the system.
3.Using the keyboard, press the letter shown in the key tip over the desired feature.
4.Depending on the option you choose, you may be shown additional key tips.
5.In the same manner, continue pressing key tips until you come to the desired command.

For example, if the company tab is active and you press 'M', the marketing tab will be shown along with the key tips for the groups in the marketing tab. By pressing a key tip reserved for any command inside the marketing tab, you will be able to execute that command.

Which tabs and commands are available in the ribbon?

Commands in ribbon are organised into logical groups, collected together under certain tabs. Each tab relates to a specific type of activity. The tabs and commands that are available in the ribbon are:
