'Fax', which is short for 'facsimile', is a method of transmitting documents. The word 'telefax', which is short for 'telefacsimile', meaning 'to make a copy at a distance', can also be used.
To send a fax to a contact, follow these steps.
Step 1: Select Send fax

Click the Contact tab located on the ribbon.
Select Send fax in the Communications group.
Step 2: Type your message

Tabs for fax
The 'Fax' form contains all the relevant information related to a fax broken down into several tabs. These tabs are located in upper panel and include:
| • | general information - lists details similar to an ordinary fax message |
| • | advanced - contains BCC and campaigns associated with the message |
| • | attachments - documents can be attached to this fax like a normal fax message. |
In the lower panel, the HTML tab is available. This can be used for formatting, depending upon the nature of the message.
There is also a preview tab available to view the message.
Note:
The fields marked with red star (*) at the right end indicate that they are required fields; other fields can be left blank.
