How to create new fax template?

Fax (short for facsimile) is a telecommunications technology used to transfer copies (facsimiles) of documents, especially using affordable devices operating over the telephone network. The word telefax, short for telefacsimile, for "make a copy at a distance", can also used as a synonym.

 

The CRM component of the system has the ability to create new fax template that can be reused for future faxes. You can create fax template by following these easy steps:

 

Step 1: Select 'New Fax Template'

 

 

On ribbon, click the "Communications" tab.

Under Templates group, select "New Fax Template".

 

Note:

To edit any existing fax template, double-click that template from grid under "All Fax Templates" command and then move to Step-2

 

Step 2: Fill the Form

 

 

Tabs for Fax Template

The fax form contains all of the information related to a fax, broken down into few tabs. These tabs are located in upper pane and described here:

General Info:  This tab contains name, merge source and description for fax template.

Message: The "Advanced" tab contains subject, To and From fields. Type  the actual message here.

Attachments: Under attachment tab, you can attach any document to this template.

 

In lower pane one more tabs is available i.e. HTML. You can use it for formatting depending upon the nature of message.

 

In bottom pane, a preview tab is also available to view how this message will look like.

 

Note:

The fields marked with red star (*) at right end, indicate that these are required-fields while any other field can be left blank.

 

 

More Actions for Fax Template

Using above window, you can further interact with this instance. To do so, you can choose any of the actions listed below:

-How to use editors?
-How to add attachment?

 

Step 3: Click 'Save & Close'

When you have finished to enter all the desired info under appropriate tabs,  to save this data, choose any one option on ribbon:

 

Save and Close: saves everything you have entered so far and closes the form

Save and New: saves everything you have entered so far and reopens a blank form for another entry.
