How to add stages to an opportunity?

You can control an opportunity by adding different stages to it, follow these easy steps:

 

Step 1: Select 'All Types'

 

 

On ribbon, click the "Opportunity" tab.

Under Opportunities group, select "All Type".

 

Step 2: Select Existing Opportunity Type

 

Here you can view different types for opportunities according to your requirements. Double-click the type to which you want to add stages. After this selection, you will be moved to step-3.

 

Step 3: Select 'New'

 

 

Right click on lower pane of this window and select "New". It will pop open a new window where you can add new stage (or stages) for selected type.

 

Step 4: Enter Name

 

 

Here you can enter name for this new stage. Make sure the opportunity type is same that you selected in previous step (step-2).

 

Step 5: Click 'Save & Close'

When you have finished to enter all the desired info,  to save this data, choose any one option on ribbon:

 

Save and Close: saves everything you have entered so far and closes the form

Save and New: saves everything you have entered so far and reopens a blank form for another entry.
