What is the quick-access toolbar?

The quick-access toolbar is a customisable toolbar containing a set of commands.

In this system, the quick-access toolbar can be located either:

in the upper left-hand corner next to the CRM button (its default location, as shown in first screen)
below the ribbon, as shown in second screen.

How do you move the quick-access toolbar?

If you are not comfortable with the quick-access toolbar in its current location, you can move it. If its default location, next to the CRM button, is too far from your work area, you can move it closer. Again, if you want to maximise your work area, you may want to keep the quick-access toolbar in its default location (ie next to the CRM button).  To make this change, follow these steps:

1.Click Customize quick-access toolbar (or right-click anywhere on the ribbon, as shown above).
2.In drop-down menu, click Show quick-access toolbar below the ribbon.

How do you add a command in the quick-access toolbar directly from the ribbon?

A range of commands is available as shown on the ribbon. Any command from this range can be added to the quick-access toolbar. To do this, follow these steps:

1.On the ribbon, navigate the desired tab or group to display the command that you want to add.
2.Right-click on the command, and then click Add to quick-access toolbar on the shortcut menu.
